Two dozen seldom-seen examples of the 1798-1801 Embossed Revenue Paper; a wonderful group of these terribly under-appreciated documents featuring the appropriate embossed revenue stamp paying a specific fee; usages include wanted man from Territory of North-West of Ohio, Protest of note, listing of slaves, a receipt for "one trunk of shoes", and an estate inventory; this seldom-encountered group of embossed stamp revenue paper is deserving of further study, as it is well recognized as an under-appreciated part of Americana.
