2255 o   imageRevenue, 1862-71, First Issue, imperforate, interesting collection of over 60 stamps hinged on National pages with many of the Scott numbers represented, however, there are some questionable items including some very high catalogue stamps; the Scott R77a includes the photograph from a Philatelic Foundation certificate, but not the certificate. While the opinion on The Philatelic Foundation's website says that the stamp is a genuine R77a, but faulty it is our opinion that it will not receive a new genuine certificate. There is a R2a and two R3a with three margins, a highly faulty small margined R17a, very small margins R33a and R36a, a three margined R53a, Scott R87a (Scott Catalogue value $9,000) which may well be genuine, but has a very large repaired holes and a second R87a with very small margins and in a light shade of blue; R88a and two R92a with one margin only, and many other similar items. The genuine items or items that look close to being genuine catalogue about $5,000. There are faults and some tight margined stamps, centering varies and the collection is certainly well worth inspection.
Estimate $1,000 - 1,500. (Image) (Image2) (Image3) (Image4) (Image5)

R47b, R49b, R50b, R51b, R56b, R61b, R65b, R66b, R69b, and R81b.
