Momotombo issue, one from Bluefields to Corn Island franked with a 5c, and two from Corn Island to Bluefields franked with 2c strips of 2½ stamps making up the 5c rate; all tied by oval Corn Island datestamps; also includes an 1877 letter from the British Vice Consulate at Bay Islands and Truxillo (Honduras). A very scarce group.

The four covers from Corn Island are addressed to Rolando Kuehn, who was the Port Medical Officer at Bluefields. Kuehn later became a stamp dealer and is believed to have been responsible for the creation of the Provisional Adhesives. The cover to Corn Island is addressed to "Governor Moody"
