2075 / 527a//530a image1918, Offsets, double impressions (Scott 527a//530a), most o.g., hinged, 528c and one 530 never hinged, one of the most desirable lots any Washington-Franklin collector could ever hope for, featuring 6 outstanding double impressions that took a serious collector years to assemble; included in this fabulous lot is 527a, 528c, 528Ad, 528Be, and two 530a's; what's nice about this group is that they aren't slight double impressions, but they are dramatic eye catching examples that leave no doubt; a very elusive group, in particular Scott #'s 527a and 528Ad are rarely seen in any condition and are to say the least ridiculously undervalued; don't be surprised if the final realization of this important lot is well over $1,000, and if you're the lucky winner, you'll be glad you got it; this is the first time we have ever seen all four 2 cent double impressions offered together in one lot; a rare opportunity, Fine to Very Fine.
