Grenada
LotNo. Symbol CatNo. Lot Description
383 /o   imageGrenada, and Grenadines, Mint Collection, 1861-2009. One of the most extensive modern-era collections for this area we have seen, on Scott Specialty pages in SEVEN (yes, count them!) mainly bulging green binders; from 1934-through 2009 only one stamp appears to be missing from a complete run of mint stamps; yes, we are not kidding---this is many thousands of stamps in complete sets and souvenir sheets on the key themes and hottest topics out there----fish, sports, Olympics, Royal Weddings, Boy Scouts, US Bicentennial, Easter, Christmas, butterflies, flowers, great art, sculptures, painters, writers and composers, inventors, films and film stars, space, air-planes, Nobel Prize-winners, QEII, marine-life, whales, dogs, cats, ducks, Pokemon, NASCAR, dinosaurs, great humanitarians, America's Cup, Elvis, Diana, Shirley Temple, JFK, Reagan, chess, explorers, Catholic Popes, US presidents, WWII, cricket, Marilyn, Three Stooges, NBA, US history, baseball greats, World Cup, railroads, Star Trek, zeppelins, British Royal family, and Disney's----you haven't seen Disney's like this---hundreds and hundreds of them beautifully created and rendered; these will fly off the pages into your collection or be instantly grabbed-up on e-bay; for the traditionalists, there is a respectable showing of classics, such as: # 16 ($400), # 20-25 ($124) 39-46 ($225), even scarce varieties like # 142b ($43) all mint; volumes 5-7 are an apparently complete mint collection of Grenada Grenadines, from #1 through # 2735 (1973-2009); once again great topics galore, and indeed an almost encyclopedic overview of the world's major events, species and historical figures, Fine to Very Fine.
