This gorgeous set in the original colors was designed by the American Bank Note Company in 1879-80. This gorgeous set in the original colors was designed by the American Bank Note Company in 1879-1880. A set of five different bank notes that includes a $10, $20, $50, $100 and $500 denominations. All of these issued notes are incredibly rare and the $500 not is known only in a proof format. The proof series came out in the ABN archive auctions and realized over $38,000. Each uniface reprint bank note is printed on heavy acid free stock and was prepare in 1995 by ABN commemoratives, housed in the original folder, in exquisite condition, Extremely Fine.

886   imageHawaii, 1995, reproduction of $10 1879-1880 Hawaiian Kingdom reprint banknote, reproduced from the original printing plates, the original note was designed and printed by the American Bank Note company in 1880 upon an order from the Kingdom of Hawaii in 1879. A circulated $10 bank notes realized $268,000 at auction in 2006. Due to this note's extreme rarity this uniface engraved reprint is the only manner in which collectors may obtain a copy of this 19th century work of art. Reprinted by the ABN in 1995 this note is a perfect for the collateral piece for the Hawaii collector and also suitable for framing, in exquisite condition, Extremely Fine.
