Great Britain continued...

1841-1860 Line Engraved Issues continued...
LotNo. Symbol CatNo. Lot Description
121 8 Great Britain, 1841, 1d red brown (SG 8), holding of about 700 covers, all from a single business correspondence, that of publisher/bookseller William Parker of Oxford; virtually all are folded letters and about 500 of them are opened flat. The lot has been cherry-picked, so there's probably really unusual; virtually all are single frankings and, though about 50 have Maltese Cross cancels, we didn't see any with numerals; condition ranges from Very Good to Very Fine with some faults scattered throughout. A great lot for postmarks or for plating.
