227 J17b imagePostage Due, 1925, 10¢ orange, missing "E" of "POSTAGE" (Scott J17b), two combination pairs of J17b and normal in block from the bottom row of the pane (natural straight edge at bottom), positions 83-84 and 93-94; position 83 does exist with tiny traces of the "E" and is accepted by the Canal Zone Study Group as the variety, this position 83 does not appear to have any traces of the "E" of "POSTAGE", tropicalized o.g.; some perforation separation on horizontal row between top and bottom combination pairs, Fine to Very Fine, quantity issued is unknown, but it is felt that only a few sheets were sold and the error quickly corrected by the printer.
