Apl 17"; right stamp cut in at top, other small flaws, Fine and unusual. Included is a photocopy of the original letter [one page, two full sides] which begins, "In the midst of pressing and more weighty matters it may be of interest to hear from home…" Hurricane was the name of Davis' plantation near Vicksburg Miss.
