The Ebbitt House hotel, built in 1856 at 14th & F Streets, was the original home of the unnamed grill that would become the renowned Old Ebbitt Grill, Wahington's oldest Bar Restaurant. When the hotel was razed in 1925, the Grill moved to 1427 F Street. Then, when that site was demolished in 1983, the restaurant moved to its current location on 15th Sreet.
