343 85-86 imageCanada, 1¢ 1898 Imperial Penny Postage, 110 plated singles (Scott 85-86). 100 different positions with 10 duplicates, all but five of which are mounted, one stamp to a page, below a corresponding diagram from Whitney L. Bradley's The Canadian Map Stamp of 1898 - A Plating Study; all are o.g. and about 75% are never hinged. Scott value, counting all as blue (though there is a wide range of shades) and 80 as never hinged, is $7,600. A marvelous lot.

345 /o   imageCanada, Nearly Complete Collection, 1851-2000. A virtually intact collection (we removed only a #3 proof) in a bulging Scott Specialty album with the 19th century mostly used and the 20th just about all mint; used earlies include #2, 5, 7, 8 & 12; later better complete mint sets include 1897 Jubilees ($1-$4 used), 1897 Maple Leafs, 1898-1902 Numerals (6¢ used), 1908 Quebec Tercentenary, 1928-29 "Scroll" Issue, 1930-31 "Arch" Issue and Officials to 1951; from there on everything is here and 99% mint (NH beginning in the late '70s); as for condition, the early material is a bit rough but generally reasonable space fillers; beginning in the late 19th century virtually everything is at least Fine, and by the 20th, F-VF. Overall, a very worthwhile lot, with a high catalog value.
