Several hundred stamps, possibly thousands of stamps, mint and used, including occasional postal history integrated into the collection, with much identified by Michel number, covering the gamut of conditions, yet clearly with some beautiful items present. Starting with Baden we noticed (all used, unless otherwise specified) Michel #1b cat 650 euro, #2b 35 euro, #3a 250 euro, #3b 120 euro, #4a 500 euro, #4b 60 euro (x2), #7 60 euro, #9 60 euro, #10a 150 euro, #11a 175 euro, #17 35 euro (x2), 20b mint 500 euro, #25b 300 euro, etc. Then Bavaria with a range of the first ‘broken circle’ issues with over 40 examples to explore, mostly different numerals through to complete circle types, then #4 the 6k brown again with some beauties here, #5 9k green (x3), #8 (x3) and then several dozens #9 with some better types identified, similarly with 20x #10, then #11 9kr bistre brown (x6), #12 12k green, through to the shield types with some here with sidewalk margins, through to perf types with occasional perf-ins as well, followed by Prince Luitpold definitives inc 5 examples of Michel #76 1c (cat 100 euro each), mostly if not all never hinged, through to the later imperfs including high values, on to Germania high values through to final integration with Germany, including some postal history and further back of the book, tete-beche, non-Scott listed etc. Then follows Bergedorf with an apparent #1b used requiring certificate, plus the 19th century local series of 5 of the early annual pictorials through to Brunswick inc half pair of #9, #11a etc through to Bremen complete, needing certificates on some, Hamburg and Hanover in a similar pattern with dozens of imperfs and a rather attractive mint block of 4 of #15a KGV (fresh color on the outside however sweated gum on the reverse, 750 euro), etc. Then Heligoland, Lubeck, Mecklenburg Schwerin with an impressive block of 4 of #5b, this time unused, cat as normal 1000 euro through to NGF with a few dozen stamps, Alsace Lorraine including colored cancels, Prussia with dozens of imperfs through to shields, Saxony a similar pattern, Thurn and Taxis including a fascinating combination cover #7b and #8 1500 euro, as well as postal stationery #GAA13 sent to Wiesbaden (800 euro), also present dozens of imperfs inc #4 225 euro, #5a 60 euro, #6a 50 euro (x2), #6b 150 euro, #7a 30 euro (x3), #7b 60 euro, #8 90 euro, #10b (x5), #12a 30 euro, #15 75 euro, #20 25 euro (x3), #21 45 euro, #22 100 euro (x3), #29 55 euro (x2), #31 90 euro (x2), #32 60 euro (x5), #33 60 euro (x4), #34 60 euro (x2), #34 60 euro, #40 90 euro, #44 40 euro, #43 65 euro, #44 75 euro, etc. Then Wurttemberg again with a good showing of imperfs inc 5 different examples of #3, 2 of #4, etc through to better perforated issues of 2x #17y 90 euro, 2x #18y 175 euro, #22 120 euro, #128 150 euro, etc, ending with postal history. The more you study this collection, the better it becomes, enormous catalogue not actually totalled, only periodically itemised and clearly huge potential here. This needs a good unhurried careful viewing, page for page, recommended.
