111 o 79 image1867, 3¢ rose, A. grill (Scott 79), neat black crossroads cancellation, one of the choicest examples of this scarce grilled all over stamps imaginable, nicely centered with dynamite color, and full perforations all around - rare thus, as this stamp is almost always found with severe perf problems caused by the all over grilling of the stamp, the Scott value of $1,500 is for a "Fine to Very Fine example with minor perf faults", and furthermore states "Examples with complete or virtually complete perforations sell for much more", you don't need more than one hand to count the number of choice quality #79's that have appeared on the market over the past 10 years, a magnificent showpiece worthy of bids in multiples of it's catalog value, a true condition rarity deserving placement in the finest collection, Very Fine, 2013 P.F. certificate.
