 New Zealand, 1940-41 Jusqu'a Bars Cancel Airmail. Two (2) interesting covers. First a First Flight cover for through airmail service NZ-Australia-England postmarked Rotorua Apr
20, 1940, and then airmail canceled in London and forwarded by surface to addressee in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Second cover is a censored envelope from Auckland to Zurich Feb 11, 1941, with airmail canceled in London.

cancelled "Egypt/42/7-JU-41/ Postage/ Prepaid"; secondly an official OHMS envelope, unstamped, mailed at NZ Army Base Post Office March 6, 1941; thirdly an airmail letter card sent to a serviceman in 1944.

 New Zealand, 1945 (Jan. 25, 28) North Island Rail Strike Emergency Air Flights (NZAMC 254c, 254t). As a result of a rail strike on the North Island, the government ordered
the RNZAF to fly passengers and mail Jan 24-28, 1945. Two (2) covers, one flown New Plymouth to Auckland on 25th; the other Wellington to Gisborne on the 28th (backstamp Gisborne 28JA45 10AM). Second has private single-line cachet.

 New Zealand, 1946-48 RNZAF Flights from Occupied Japan to NZ. After the war NZ provided occupation troops in Japan. Mail was flown by the RNZAF to and from these troops. Two (2)
examples of such mail, one an Air Letter mailed in 1946 from NZAPO 222 in Japan to Littleton, NZ, and the other a cover from same APO addressed to Auckland in 1948, with outstanding "Hubba-Hubba" cachet. Both transported free of postage.

 New Zealand, 1947 Boxed Instructional Handstamp "By Air to London Only". Air Letter mailed to Stockholm, Sweden, in 1947 from Auckland, underfranked for airmail all the way.
Auckland applied boxed instructional handstamp. Airmail was canceled in London using red roller-type jusqu'a marking. Only five uses of this instructional marking are known.
