1943 27a imageNew Zealand, 1921 (Jan. 31) Christchurch-Ashburton Inaugural Regular Service (NZAMC 27a). First flight of contract service by Canterbury (NZ) Aviation Ltd. Handstruck "AERIAL MAIL" marking. Underpaid 2d, uncollected, as 6d airmail was a surcharge on 2d surface rate. Roughly opened at top resulting in several tears. Only 9 pieces flown Christchurch to Ashburton.

1946 34b imageNew Zealand, 1929 (June 21) Karamea Earthquake Emergency Flights (NZAMC 34b). Captain Burrell flew small amounts of mail between Westport and Karamea on June 21 and 22nd. This cover, signed by him, flown from Karamea to Westport and on to Christchurch on 21st. Roughly opened at top. Owner states only 4 pieces of mail flown.

1947   imageNew Zealand, 1929 (June 29) Karamea Earthquake Emergency Flights. A flight was undertaken from Christchurch to Westport in order to bring mechanics to the site of Burrell's damaged plane. Some mail was carried on this flight. This piece was sent by rail from Dannevirke to Wellington and from Wellington to Lyttelton, then by interisland ferry and finally placed on the June 29th flight. Research by owner; not listed in NZAMC.

1948 36j, 36l imageNew Zealand, 1930 NZ Acceptances of Airmail to be flown by ANA in Australia (NZAMC 36j, 36l). Mail was sent by steamer from Wellington to Sydney, where it was placed on ANA airplanes to Brisbane and Melbourne via inaugural acceptance flights. Surface rate to Australia 1d, air surcharge 3d. These two covers were on the respective first flights. 8 covers flown to Melbourne, 10 to Brisbane.

1949 36r imageNew Zealand, 1930-31 NZ Acceptances for airmail dispatched through Canada (NZAMC 36r). Two covers, one sent via the initial acceptance (July 29, 1930) for airmail service through Canada to England, and the other a later acceptance for airmail service in Canada to Toronto. First cover left Auckland onboard S.S. Niagara July 29 and arrived in Vancouver on August 15. Air service to NY where Jusqu'a markings applied, and then by steamer to England. Second cover left Christchurch June 5, 1931 and traveled via steamer S.S. Makura from Wellington to Vancouver and then by air to Toronto.
