Palestine, 1740, folded letter from Jerusalem to Vienna, dated 4 August from Brother Luigi of Bastia of the Franciscan order of the Province of Corsica, Guardian of Mount Sion & of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, to The Most Reverend Father Cipriano Palm, General Commissioner of the Holy Land in the Holy Empire and Court of Vienna concerning the delivery of alms in Jerusalem from donors of the House of Hungary as well as the Houses of Austria and Bavaria, signed by seven members of the Council of the Holy Land including the Guardian of the Holy Land and Pro-Vicar of the Holy Land, with superb wafer/wax seal of "Commry Apos. Orie/Si R.P. Cvar. S. Mont. Sion", excellent state of preservation for such an early letter from the Holy Land; with full transcription, Sacher.
