1869   Russia, Fascinating City of St. Petersburg Postal History Collection, a magnificent collection in 2 parts collectivily offering over 350 covers, plus a select assemblege of cancelled stamps off cover, detailing the many eras and aspects of St. Petersburg postal history. The first section in a splendid, wonderfully annotated one volume collection including stampless covers, Czarist franked covers, early items of postal stationery etc, displaying registered usages, official mail blue label items, money packets, foreign auxillery markings, parcel post forms, extensive branch office (numbers 1-17) markings,railroad usages, scarce provisional label covers, attempt to deliver slips, sub-offices, and much, much more, far too numerous to note within the confines of space. A very lovely, impressive study, generally F-VF, well worth the time for inspection, and a pleasure to review.

1870 /o   Russia, Splendid Circa 1843-1943 Postal Stationery Selection, comprised of over 200 neatly assembled items in a Lighthouse cover album. Begins with a beautiful mint or used array of early entires, identified by Michel numbers, by paper thickness and color types, watermark type etc, and continues on to include a fine array of later entires lovely postal cards, letter cards, plus a fascinating and extensive array of the lovely propaganda card issues. 1875 P   Argentina, Superb Collection of 1892-1962 Proofs, Essays Etc, Wonderful, clean and extensive mounted collection comprised of over 300 items, including die proofs on India paper, die proofs on card stock, essays, trial color proofs, specimens, imperfs, items printed on the gum side etc. Includes representation for a wide and diverse range of issues, including the 1910 100th Anniversary of the Republic issue, 1899-1903 Allegory and Seated Liberty types, the 1896 Manuel Belgrano issue, 1962 75th Anniversary of Virgin of Lujan issue, 1942 and 1951 Airmail issues, 1931 "6 Setiembre 1930-31" overprinted issue, handstamped "Specimen", 1917-23 San Martin issue, a scarce pair of 1948 souvenir sheets in unissued colors etc. A superb holding, not easily duplicated, largely F-VF or better, specialists delight.

1877 /o   imageAustria, Collection, 1850-1977, mint and used collection, used to 1920, Mint (hinged or NH) to 1951 and then parallel mint and used of each stamp after that point to 1977 housed in Scott Specialized album, with highlights that include; 1931 mint Rotary Overprint issue, 1932 mint Artists set, 1933 WIPA mint set of both normal and granite papers, 1933 mint Deliverance from the Turks set, 1936 used Engelbert Dollfuss, and other better set.
