ONE OF ONLY THREE RECORDED 15¢ 1869 ISSUE USAGES TO ARGENTINA PROPERLY PREPAID FOR THE 18¢ AMERICAN PACKET RATE.
This franking was used to pay the 18¢ rate for service via American Packet to Rio de Janeiro, and from
there by British packet to Buenos Aires. Many of the 1869 issue covers from the Jencks correspondence were overpaid, this example is one of the few properly paid for the 18¢ rate.
