The 1,068 ton "Lookout" was built in Warren, R.I. in 1853. She made some fast passages and was reputed to have been a great favorite on the San Francisco - New York run. Sherwood, named on this card, was her captain between 1857 and 1863.

ONE OF THE FINEST EXAMPLES OF THE "MIDNIGHT" CLIPPER SAILING CARD.

The little "Midnight" was launched at Portsmouth, N.H. in 1854. George H. Brock commanded the ship from 1858 to 1872. She was eventually condemned in Japan in 1878.
