Mail Sale - August 7, 2019

Sam Houston Philatelics next auction will close on Wednesday, August 07, 2019 at 1:00 PM, Central Time. The sale contains 560 lots, with material in all price ranges and something for everyone, collectors and dealers alike. A few of the highlights include the following:
  • UNITED STATES, There are about (150) U.S. lots, with approximately (20) Classics and Banknotes that includes very nice nos. 22, 117 and 145, and there are a half dozen Columbian lots. About (25) 1890's Regular issues, Trans-Mississippi and Louisiana Purchase lots are offered. There are about (30) Washington-Franklins and other early 20th Century issues; and lastly about (35) 1930 to Date with a good selection (26) of graded issues.

  • COVERS, a nice selection of about (80) lots, with (21) Commercial covers, (2) Charles Magnus Civil War Era covers, and over (55) FDC's.

  • AIRMAIL & BACK OF BOOK ISSUES, contains over (60) lots of Airmails and BOB, including (4) nice Zeppelin lots and a rare RB18c.

  • ERRORS, FREAKS & ODDITIES, about (25) lots with misperfs, color shifts or missing color, and other oddities

  • GENERAL FOREIGN & COLLECTIONS, almost (70) lots from a variety of countries, a couple Confederate issues, several UN and Foreign country lots, and US & Foreign collections; ex: impressive Turkey accumulation.

  • DUCK STAMPS AND CONSERVATION STAMPS (Federal, Junior and State) contains about (160) lots; including (3) collections, a few licenses, (5) PNS's, about (60) Federal duck issues, (3) Mini-sheets and (9) Press Sheet items.
