The Sale contains 1168 lots, including modern Canadian printing errors and varieties, valuable Italy, Italian Colonies and Territories, Imperial Russian Official mail items, rare worldwide stamps and postal history. This Sale represents the property of 51 owners.

The Auction presents:

  • United States - Classic and modern imperforated varieties and color errors;
  • Nice selection of Great Britain and British Commonwealth, including:
    • Queen Victoria high values on bluish paper (all with D. Brandon certificates);
    • Valuable varieties of Bahamas, Bermuda, Egypt, Leeward Islands, North Borneo, Sudan and others;
    • Beautiful range of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II material, some in mint never hinged blocks of four;
  • German area items, representing Third Reich, Offices Abroad and Colonies, valuable German Occupation of Ukraine material and many more;
  • TRADITIONALLY COMPREHENSIVE RUSSIAN MATERIAL:
    • Imperial Postage Stamps and Postal History items are extremely valuable and include No.1 on cover to Derpt, unused No.2, 3 and 4 (last two with full OG), No.19-25 in margined blocks of four, No.39-40 in three side margin horizontal strips of five (all are never hinged), Telegraph stamp (re-issue of No.1) in complete pane of 35, numerous varieties and many more;
    • RSFSR Issues are showing very rare early proofs, rarities of definitive issues including litho surcharge 20r on 15k (No.224) and unissued surcharge 10r on 15k in horizontal pair;
    • Soviet Union Section presented the first class rarities, such as Lenin Mourning issue with narrow frame in blocks of four, soldier 1r of the first definitive issue in imperforated horizontal pair with double impression, Moscow Subway of 1935 in unfolded blocks, valuable collections by year from 1951 to 1960, numerous proofs, perforation and imperforated errors and varieties;
    • Russian Semi-Postal issues include notable range of Philately for the Children issues, including complete set of inverted overprints, two imperforated 1k from the first printing, two sets of Philately for the Labor (one is NH) and other desirable stamps;
    • Air Post Section includes Fokker “F-111” wide “5” variety (Scott #C4a) in mint never hinged condition, only a handful survived, Moscow Zeppelin Flight imperforated set of corner sheet margin singles in NH quality, Airship over the Arctic Region 50k in gray blue, error of color in post office fresh block of four, Moscow-San Francisco Flight surcharges and other scarce items;
    • Outstanding Group of Locals of the Civil War Period of 1918-22 with valuable items from Far Eastern Republic;
  • Beautiful range of single lots and collections of Armenia with rarities and positional blocks of surcharges on the First Constantinople issue;
  • Valuable Tannu Tuva items, including ten trial color proofs of Bactrian Camels of 1935 mounted on one presentation card, nice perforation errors and imperforated varieties;
  • Classic Ukraine represents strong range of various Trident Overprints, notable items from Dr. Seichter, Dr. Zelonka and other World-class Collections, in addition here are lots of Western and Carpatho-Ukraine;
  • Asian Countries include material of Cambodia, China of all regimes, Japan, North Korea, Mongolia and Vietnam;
  • Over one hundred Collections, Collective Lots and Accumulations.
