which we catalogued only up to 1970 ($554) and we estimate the balance (1970 to 1990) to be over 80% complete. Also includes British Honduras (1913 to 1973, $445, almost complete in period) and Virgin Islands (1913 to 1981, $483, including many used
Officials and close to complete from about 1950 to the end). We note a mint never hinged #80 (catalogues $350 as mint hinged). First and third countries include a number of stock pages full of more modern material, including some never hinged issues,

Hinged Modern Collection, mostly all on about 170 black stock pages, plus some booklets in a box. We note a wide range of modern stamps, souvenir sheets, sets, booklets from Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney and Isle of Man. Jersey looks complete from
1969 and Guernsey has some pre-2000 stamps as well but the strength of the collection is in stamps from 2000 to 2012. Lots of topicals and "prestige" booklets, as well as souvenir sheets and there is a very high face value. Very nice quality

Used Collection, 1949 to 2011 all neatly hinged onto cgi album pages (up to 2004) in two Lighthouse binders with slip cases. We note a mix of mint hinged and used, with reprints catalogued as such. A nice clean collection with a good
representation of years, many better sets, with the period 1980 to 2004 is probably 80% complete. We counted catalogue value in these two binders up to 1982 only, and there is a high level of completion from then up to 2004. Also included in the
catalogue value is a stockbook with 62 souvenir sheets (mostly mint, from 1994 to 2011) plus an almost complete mint never hinged year set for 2011. There are catalogue values in pencil on the pages, still overall very fine. (Scan a)

Collection of Early Mint and Used Stamps, stamps were originally in a bright red presentation folder, given to the consignor's grandfather in 1958 (included in lot, and has his name inside in Chinese characters) but were transferred into a
small stockbook to better preserve them. The collection includes both reprints and original printings, and were this was indistinguishable (such as the Flag series) we have used prices for reprints. We have not catalogued the few stamps that have
toning, or the accompanying album of mint and (mostly) used issues from both Chinas from the early period to the 1980s. Overall fine or better and includes many better sets. |
