Mailed from Hamilton (DEC.24.1879) to Ballaarat, Victoria, Australia (Feb. 18 receiver) via Windsor, San Francisco and Melbourne. Cover was stamped on front with boxed "UNCLAIMED AT / BALLAARAT", and returned to Canada via the Dead Letter Branch/Office with D.L.B (Australian) and D.L.O. (US and Canadian) datestamps on reverse. Minor edge wrinkling, fine-very fine. A scarce rate and destination, but rarely seen in this lovely quality. (Unitrade 37)

Mailed from an unknown location, via Hamilton (backstamp dated MAR.4.1878) to Pennsylvania. The richly illustrated cover (from the American Peace Society) with "National shall not lift up sword against Nation..." message, opened roughly at top, creating a crease all along the top and tear on the backflap and above the stamps. 491 CVR.   image1892 1c post card rate with illustrated reverse, franked with a 1c yellow, tied by a duplex cancel, paying the 1c domestic post card rate. Mailed from Hamilton (DEC.8.1892) to Paris, Ont. (next day receiver on back). Reverse shows a fully illustrated lavish steam locomotive with a man wearing a top hat riding the coal car. The locomotive is made up of a great number of different advertising groceries and drugs, etc. Small bit of staining on address side, still very fine and rare.
