8	CVR	2	1851 6d slate violet Consort on Folded Letter, with two copies, paying the double weight rate to the US border. Posted at St. Catharines U.C. on OCT.16.1852 and later re-rated 20 cents from the border to New York City. The right stamp has a vertical file crease and a tiny corner crease in bottom right corner margin, and the right stamp has a horizontal crease in the left sheet margin, else both stamps have 4 margins. 9	CVR	2	1853 6d slate violet Consort on Folded Letter, mailed Montreal APR.10.1853 and addressed to New York. Red CANADA in arc, red PAID and red "10" rate handstamp on front. Stamp has 3 large margins plus one that is cut into outer frameline at top and has a vertical crease, with target cancel. A repair to the cover almost certainly necessitated removal of the stamp.
