1953 Sultan Khalifa, original artwork for stamps made by V.G. Pradhan who worked at De La Rue, London office. This artwork was developed in the preparation process for a Zanzibar definitive value, and beside it is the final stamp 10c red orange; with a newspaper cutting "The Sultan of Zanzibar Dies". 1895-1936 mint collection on stock sheets, an attractive range of material with 1895 set to 5r (with some minor varieties), 2 1/2 on 1a SG 23 (2, one with R.P.S.), also SG 27, 29 and 38, 1896 to 5r, 1899 set (ex 5a), 1904 to 5r (+ SG 220a), 1908 to 5r, 1913 and 1914 10r, 1921 to 10r etc. A lovely lot.
