No. 171A (red trunks) has Shawnee FDOI and dc "YALE,O/MAY/25/1984/USPO" on upper stamp. Shawnee OK is considered Thorpe's birthplace, though he has stated Prague, OK also. Second day at Yale, OK because this was where he lived most of his life. Both sgnd & numbered; no. 171A is 84/138 & 171 is 68/238.
