(35-40) Set of Six, OG, NH, all are quite fresh and Fine or better, each stamp has a backstamp, a very scarce mint set, this lot has some very interesting provenance, there is a letter dated June 25th, 1957 from Robert M. Burns stating he bought this set from Twin City Stamp & Coin Shop in St. Paul and they purchased the set from Vatican Stamp Mart in Sept. 1953, there is a note from the owners certifying this set as genuine in Dec. 1953 and selling it to Mr. Burns for the sum of $35.00, this set was later sold to William Windsor who in 1968 submitted all six stamps to the PF for certification, all of this documentation is included with this lot and includes the letter, invoice, T.C. Stamp guarantee, the six submission forms and of course the six PF certificates, there is no question about the authenticity of this group , Scott $ 2,900 (Image)
