Danish West Indies, 1868 (Aug. 12) St. Thomas, D.W.I. to London, England. Folded letter with "R.S." endorsement at lower left for Royal Service to the Danish Consul General at London, bearing Great Britain 4d vermilion (43), three singles with rich color, tied by blurry "C51" horizontal barred ovals, red "St-Thomas, A, Paid, Au 12 68" cds, carried by RMSP Neva departing Aug. 13th to Plymouth arriving Aug. 24th. London (8.25) paid arrival cds, Very Fine. Estimate; $400 - 600.
