GREAT BRITAIN: 1915 real photo of original artwork of the Alexandra Palace with Christmas & New Year greetings, to "Artisten Loge/Dusseldorf" (= Artists' Lodge), fine double-circle 'PRISONERS OF WAR/P.C./ALEXANDRA PALACE' censor h/s in violet. [During WWI, the Palace was used as a refugee camp for displaced Belgians, then 1915-19 as an internment camp for German & Austrian civilians. The painting is signed "Tony Binder 1915". Born in Austria, Binder was a highly regarded painter who "lived" in England during WWI, apparently as an alien internee]
