Cat No:PR92

1894, 4c INTENSE BLACK NEWSPAPER MINT GRADED '95', #PR92, stunning example with deep proof-like impression, full lightly hinged original gum, incredibly well-centered for the issue with four large margins, extremely fine/superb, with 2006 P.F. cert. graded '95', there is no SMQ value for this grade the highest grade being 90J which lists for $1,100, should we venture an educated guess that a '95' would be in the range of $1,300-1,500?

This single is ranked #1 out of 45 stamps in the StampAuctionNetwork's census bring it to the top of the chart. We looked back for decades of auction results, but failed to find any mint PR92 to match this one. Perhaps we didn't look hard enough, but for now this stamp is the best of the best (Image1)
