Comprehensive US collection to the mid 1980s, including back of the book, revenues, and cut squares. Great opportunity to upgrade your collection, add interesting items such as Shanghai overprints, expand into revenue collecting or to start a total US collection. CAUTION: Pages have color photos of stamps at a slightly reduced size, however, most stamps are mounted and can be distinguished easily. Some mixed condition on the earlies. Collection balance in a Harris Liberty album through 1985. Judging by the empty mounts, this was a collection that, at one time, had the vast majority of spaces filled. What remains is plenty of power, albeit in mixed condition. Starts with a pen cancelled #1, then proceeds through the classics with a good number of higher catalog items, including a couple with certs. Turn of the century and forward are fairly well filled and post 1920 is virtually complete to the end. Airs missing only C13-15, extensive dues, apparently complete E’s and a loose page of Confederate States round out the collection. Eighteen cartons filled with philatelic victories from numerous estate auctions over the course of many years out of central Pennsylvania. Includes dozens of albums, salesbooks and stockbooks. Among the many starter collections is a substantial amount of postage to be counted, much of which is in the form of plate blocks. Also, of note are precancels and earlier used lined up in stockbooks awaiting to be combed through for cancels. Occasionally a better item was spotted. Hours of sorting fun or good profit potential. A beautiful collection of Farley issues with almost all being Parks. Beginning with two sets of plate blocks each for the perforated and imperforated and continuing with a set of twelve stamp arrow blocks minus the nine cent. A set of large die proofs adds to the possibility of a competitive National Parks issue exhibit. A set of covers are included with an additional cover having James Farley’s autograph. Collection of a couple hundred mostly different mounted in two vest pocket spiral note books. The first, with the majority of the value, is primarily used containing 1850’s one cent blues to the Kansas/Nebraska issues. Many bright, fresh copies throughout.
