A RARE COVER CARRIED & SIGNED BY JIM MOLLISON & HIS WIFE, AMY (JOHNSON) MOLLISON: 'Seafarer Atlantic Record Flight' 1933 (July 22/23): stampless legal size envelope carried on the flight from Pendine Sands, Wales to New York, by Amy Johnson and her husband Jim Mollison. On July 23 the plane 'Seafarer', A De Havilland Dragon, was forced to land in a swamp near Bridgeport, Connecticut, after running low on fuel. The cover signed is by both pilots with type-written note on reverse: "This letter was recovered from the marsh at Bridgeport .....crashed in the 'Seafarer' July 23rd.1933 after successfully crossing the North Atlantic from Wales, New York City July 27th 1933".
