1904 2c. rose with ovpt. "PANAMA" shifted to the right (= PANAMA double at left, none at right) used along with 5c. blue on cover from Bohio to Culebra, tied by Canal Zone machine obliterator and Bohio 'July 11 1904' c.d.s., with Culebra 'July 12 1904' arrival c.d.s. on the reverse. Envelope has been opened roughly, stamps are fine. A very rare franking (none on Siegel power search) and the same resource only mentioned three Bohio covers franked by first issue adhesives. A VERY RARE COVER FROM EMPIRE. With 'Guaranteed Perry' in m/s on back, and B.P.A. certificate (1953).

1904 10c. orange surcharged "CANAL ZONE" in violet-blue, used on cover from Cristóbal to London, tied by "CRISTOBAL/JUN/2.../1904" c.d.s., New York '6 July' transit dater as well as London '14 Juy' arrival c.d.s. on the reverse. The cover opened roughly and creased, but a fine stamp. The 10c. usage on letters to Europe are EXTREMELY RARE, and it's a very early usage. P. Holcombe opinion.

1864: Lamping & Co.'s Express. Printed frank (Haller FL1, Ty. 1, Vertical Format) on 3c Pink entire to San Francisco, clearly struck "Lamping & Cos. Express Downieville" oval handstamp, conjunctive use with blue "Wells, Fargo & Co. Marysville May 31" oval datestamp, part of top flap torn off, small tear at top of cover, otherwise Very Fine, Lamping's Express (successor toLangton) served the Downieville mining region and connected with Wells, Fargo & Co. at Marysville (Image)
