In combination with 1852, 3¢ dull red, vertical strip of three (11A), each canceled by central straight line "Paid" handstamp on embossed ladies cover to Illinoistown, Cal., matching bold "Dixfield, Me. Jul 2" cds at left, Very Fine and attractive, a lovely usage with each stamp vignette neatly struck, with 2021 P.F. certificate.

Two singles, one clear to mostly large margins, other cut in at top, tied by "New-York, Oct 31" cds as forwarding postage on 1853 light gray folded letter from Canton, China to New York N.Y. datelined "Canton, 20 Dec. 1853", sent to care of Messrs. Gordon & Talbot in New York and forwarded to Newport R.I., endorsed "Via Marseilles" at top left, back flap with partial "Hong Kong" double-arc and red London (10.15) transit backstamps, manuscript "5/5" due rating, G.B. "140" debit to U.S., carried by Collins Line Arctic from Liverpool Oct. 19th to New York arriving Oct. 30th, black "New-York, Am. Pkt. Oct 31" exchange cds with ms. "98" cents due rating crossed out upon forwarding to Newport, business contents, Very Fine.
