"Chicago Supplementary Mail Feb 7". Bold and complete blue cds used as a forwarder to Suffield, Conn, franked with 1857 3¢ Dull Red tied by New York cds, 1860 cover originally addressed to Chicago, original enclosure included, Very Fine, unusual use of Supplementary mail, this cover was the subject of a short article in The Chronicle (Feb. 1975, Vol. 27, No. 1) where it was noted as the earliest recorded example of this marking.
