China, 1921 (July 1), First Flight cover, Peking—Tsinan—Shanghai (Starr-Mills 2), a lovely, neat cover, franked on front by 1¢, 5¢ on 4¢ and 5¢ on 6¢ Junk issues, along with a bottom margin single 15¢ First Issue Airmail, all tied by Peking bilingual origin c.d.s.'s; Registered handstamp on front; reverse shows a variety of boldly-struck markings, including Peking origin c.d.s., Nansiang and Tsinan transits, along with a violet boxed 38 x 31 mm chop applied at Peking, Very Fine, a lovely and scarce early flight.

Hong Kong, 1898 (July 30), Kowloon, 4¢ Queen Victoria postal card used from Kowloon Branch to Paris, attractive card, boldly cancelled by "Hong-Kong/K.B." Webb Type A origin c.d.s.; card shows tiny, insignificant scuff mark, otherwise Very Fine, a lovely and rare combination, with this example believed to be the second earliest usage from this scarce Branch Post Office.

It is quite rare to find the branch marking used as a cancellation on the stamp (or imprinted paper) proper, as most were struck adjacent to the stamp, with the covers then sent on to Victoria to be cancelled.
