Archive box of loose shipping photographs with a black & white array of mostly postcard-size prints, some mounted on card & many with details of the vessels; and 1970s-1980s polychrome archive of an enthusiastic & much-travelled amateur, mostly enlarged to 177x130mm or 200x152mm; generally fine to very fine but the quality of the more modern prints is rather variable. 1942 (Nov) series of mostly small prints recording the heavy seas and consequent wreck of SS 'Kapara' just off Flinders Island (Tasmania), several of the vessel breaking-up (the largest of 250x195mm has a few faults), ropes rigged between the ship & shore bringing over the engine & anchor etc, others of the crew & passengers, etc, also 1930s (?) shot of the ship in calm waters, generally very fine.  (41 images) (Image1)
