1854-61 collection of used 1d red Stars in a Philatelic album with in excess of 2800 examples (+ 36 covers), mostly from the SG.38/41 group, arranged by Plate number from 27 to 66, with partial reconstructions of the letterings from each Plate. A further 700 or so (+ 25 covers) are housed in a fine old philatelic album incl. useful groups of blued papers, arranged by watermark, perforation and Plate number, with some scarcer Plates, a good variety of shades etc. The condition is mostly average to fine, a remarkable collection where careful viewing will be rewarded.
