1898 two-page letter headed "Samarai BNG/1st September 1898" to the Governor & signed "AD [?] Murray" who advises he has received £50 in respect of which "...I have enclosed the gold and osmiridium in a small box...with a statement from Burns Philp & Co showing exactly how the fifty pounds were expended..." He also refers to "your successor", which confirms the addressee as Sir William MacGregor, who retired 10.9.1898 and was succeeded by George Le Hunte. With the Burns Philp documentation.
