Incoming Mail: 1868 (Jun 1) small envelope franked Great Britain 3d and 6d (both with faults) tied by Sunderland duplex, endorsed "Via Panama", addressed to a Naval Captain at Riverton which lies far south on south Island, sent in closed mail via St Thomas, colon and Panama to wellington, where additionally franked 3d. violet tied by duplex of JY 3 and sent to Invercargill with arrival cds of Aug 10. 1936 Bradbury Wilkinson tamp-size undernominated engraved essay die proofs with portrait of King Edward VII facing three-quarters to left, each with frame and inscriptions as subsequently adopted for the KGVI 1/2d to 9d, respectively in carmine (with the portrait of the King in military uniform) and in blue-green (with portrait of the King in garter robes). 1878-1935 mint collection on stock sheets, a few early issues incl 1878 2d in pair and 1882 to 1/-, also 1898 to 2/- (with some shades, incl both 5d and 1/-) and 1899 to 2/-. Thereafter, we note 1900 issues incl the 1 1/2d re-entry SG 275d, 1d in imperf pair (plate proof) with RPS, 1902 to 5/- (hinge remainder), 1906 Christchurch set, 1909 issues and the 1913 Auckland Exhibition set. 1936-52 extensive mint GVI collection on stock sheets with the 1936 set incl. perf types, 2/- 'COQK' variety (2), inverted wmks etc, with strength in the 'back of book' issues. We note useful Officials with SG O115-9, O120-33 + perf types, 1938 set and 1940 incl. set to 8d in pairs with 'ff' joined. A lovely range of 70 or so Postal Fiscals to 15/- (with 2 x 12/6d) and £1, then 1940 to £1, plus £2, the scarce £2.10s, £3, £4 and £5 (gum a little toned on the higher values).
