Ararimu (AK 1907-29) fair-good B-type cds on 6d GV pair. Date illegible. Scarce.

Argyll East (NA 1905-28) good complete H-type cds 1 AU 08 on ½d Mt Cook deep green on comic PPC. Actually a very good strike but difficult to make out against the dark stamp. Very scarce.

Ashburton (CH) fine complete F-type d/s 20 MY 96 on 1d SSF pair on fine cover & good complete Westport F 18 MY 93 on 2d SSF on fine mourning cover (flap missing). Both to Ballantyne & Co, in Christchurch, with receipt b/s.

Atawhai (NN 1908-49) good-fine near complete H-type cds 15 MR 10 on ½d EVII (light perf tone) on PPC. First A- of name has not struck.

Atea (MS 1899-1916) good almost complete A-type cds 1 (??) 01 on 1900 1d Terraces. Name a bit patchy. Very scarce. (Image)

Auckland Quay Street (AK temporary PO 10-14 AU 1908 during visit of US Fleet) good complete strike of C-type cds 14 AU 08 on 1d Universal on fine NZ view PPC to USA. "QUAY STREET" at base of cds is patchy. Very scarce (rated "9").

Blackball (GM 1897-1988) fair-good (light) complete A-type cds 23 SE 07 on 1d Universal on "Tatts" cover to Hobart & fine A 27 JA 10 on 1d Official. Also fine 26mm J 5 AP 37 (late date), & 3 fine 33mm double-ring J (intro 1938) 1959, 1960 ,1974 on pieces

Blind River (BM 1897-1927) complete but only fair strike of H-type cds FE 26 07 on 1d Universal on fine view PPC (Wakamarina River, publ Macey). Very scarce.

Bruce Bay (GM 1885-1935 ch, 1st office) good-fine A-type cds 28 MR 03? on 1d Universal & fine almost complete strike 25 JL 14 on 1d Dominion.

Burnett's Face (WP 1891-1953) fine near complete A-type cds 21 FE 16 on ½d EVII & good-fine complete J cds 28 JL 43 on 2d Wharre on neat piece. Coal mining.

Cambridge (HN 1864- ) fine complete (partly over-inked) F-type d/s (with recut "NZ" & name) 10 MR 19 on 1d Dominion on fine F Duncan & Co PPC (The Lake, Cambridge). This d/s in regular use only 1909-21 (recut c Sept 1917). Nice example.

Cape Foulwind (WP 1887-1957) complete but only fair A-type cds (name about 30% unclear) 2? MR 07 on 1d Universal on real photo PPC (bush scene). Light overall toning, otherwise sound. Very scarce.

Cape Runaway (GS 1901-88) fine complete H-type cds 4 JE 65 on 2½d QEII p/c cutout.

Castlecliff (WG 1891-1989) fine complete H-type cds 4 AU 10 on ½d EVII on good view PPC.
