1856 Slant 5 perhaps XF by wear but w/ a 2mm hole at K1. It was customary for well-to-do women of the day to wear $1 gold pieces on a charm bracelet. This was likely one of those pieces. (Image)
1902 Liberty AU58. Actually a scarce issue though the price guides show no indication of it. From a mintage of only 82,800 a number far lower than any neighboring dates from the Philly mint. Authors Garrett and Guth have this to say about the 1902-P Eagle: " . . . . a moderately scarce date . . . . nowhere near as common as it was once believed to be . . . ". Bid accordingly, it may be a long time before another is offered. (Image)

1911-D Indian NGC AU58. One of the three quite scarce $5 Indians. Here's a chance to own a certified high-grade example. From a mintage of only 72,500 the overwhelming majority were melted leaving only a small number available today. In The Encyclopedia of US Gold Coins, authors Garrett and Guth note that the 1911-D is " . . . . . one of the great rarities of the [Indian Half Eagle] series . . . . . " The coin speaks for itself.
