22 WW1 GERMAN NAVY POSTCARDS 1914-1919 (a few later), 15 are artist cards noting most are signed, also 5 real photo cards and 2 ship cards, the majority are unchecked FELDPOST cards sent by soldiers and sailors, note a 1915 real photo of the crew on the German Sea Raider SS PRINZ EITEL noting about half the crew had been transferred from the SS TIGER and they still wore their TIGER caps, the SS EITZEL made the mistake of an APR-1915 visit to Newport-News where they were held on APR-1915 and seized by the US Navy MAY-1917 where it was used as a Troop Transport under the name USS DEKALB, the 2 ship postcards show the SS EITZEL, retails over $400 US+, F-VF est ($75+ US) (Image)
