Collection of Mint and Used Italy, 1862-1985, with many hundreds of stamps, neatly organized in two 64 page stockbooks. The lot begins with a small sampling of 1862 issues, including two mint hinged perforated 5c unissued stamps (Sardinia Scott #10), and continues with primarily used material up to 1985. We note selections of back of the book material including airmail, special delivery, pneumatic post, just to name a few. The collection also includes Italian States, with better representation from Papal States, Sardinia, and Romagna. A cursory check of material indicated a few stamps cataloguing $10 and higher, leaving potential finds, including better postmark for the specialist. Online photos show an overview. We note a few small faults on a few of the early stamps, with mint material being mostly hinged, with a few having hinge remnants. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
