1943 E.A.F 1d - 9d and M.E.F 1/- all overprinted SPECIMEN (11½x1¾mm san-serif capitals sloping to the right), all additionally handstamped "ULTRAMAR", fine mint. The E.A.F overprints unlisted with Specimen overprints by Samuel or S.G; the Ultramar handstamp however applied in Lisbon to U.P.U Specimens received for the Portuguese Colonies, apparently proving these Specimen overprints were sent out by the U.P.U. 1930 (Dec 15) Transatlantic Mass Formation flight cover flown from Rome to Rio de Janeiro franked 1.25L and the special 7.70L stamp issued for this one flight (S.G. 303, £1,400) tied by the special machine cancel, Rio de Janeiro arrival machine (Jan. 22), addressed to General Balbo, signed by Balbo and the other eighteen pilots and crew. Parma. 1852-59 Used selection on pages comprising 1852 5c (5, with vertical strip of three), 10c (3, with vertical pair), 15c (3), 25c (2), 40c, 1853-55 5c and 15c, 1857-59 25c and 1859 20c blue, some faults. (18).

Romagna. 1859 Issue comprising set of nine unused (8b with gum, others without gum), 1b, 2b, 3b, 4b (2) and 5b used, also originals with forged cancels (4) and reprints (6, two "used"), a few faults though most are fine. (25).

Tuscany. 1851-60 Used selection including 1851-52 1s. orange, 9c plum, 9c dull purple on azure, 1860 1c purple, 1c plum, etc, some faults. (46).
