RED OVERPRINT: 'H.A.' on Rouletted 1d bright yellow-green with Under-Inked Overprint horizontal pair, rouletting on three sides & between the units and cut from the sheet to preserve the design at the top & clear of the design at the base, minor separation fault at upper-right, on plain OHMS cover with colourless 'HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY/S.A' embossing on the flap, very fine GPO cds of OC1/68, to a sergeant in the Adelaide Artillery (his surname neatly erased). One of the most attractive of all the Departmental covers. The stamps are rated RR+. The only 'H.A.' cover recorded in Anthony Presgrave's Census.

RED OVERPRINT: 'H.A.' on Perf 11½-12½ 4d deep dull purple, circle-in-bars cancel of the GPO. Rated RR. Superior to the 'Tamiami' example, - trimmed perfs at right - that sold for $287. [Date range 6.8.1868 to 25.8.1869] The illustration is above Lot 379.

BLACK OVERPRINT: 'H.A.' on Perf 11½-12½ 1d deep yellow-green with Double Perforations at Right, GPO cds of OC8/69. Rated RR+. [Date range 20.8.1869 to 9.3.1870]
BLACK OVERPRINT: 'H.A.' on Regular Compound Perf 11½-12½x10 1d yellow-green, a trifle aged, light GPO cds. Rated RRR. [Date range 30.10.1871 to -.11.1874, suggesting there were at least two separate periods of use. Late usage was probably for posting the Government Gazette]
BLACK OVERPRINT: 'H.A.' on Regular Compound Perf 11½-12½x10 1d green Printed on Both Sides with both impressions upright, GPO cds of OC30/71, tiny hinge remnants on face that could be removed with care. Unrecorded by Ron Butler who doubted George Blockey's definitive recording of this stamp. Don Pearce has recorded only one other example, of 1.3.1872, so it should be rated RRRRR. BLACK OVERPRINT: 'H.A.' on Irregular Compound Perf 11½-12½x11½-12½x10x11½-12½ 1d green, a couple of minor defects, GPO cds with indistinct date. Rated RRR: unrecorded unused. More attractive than the very fine 'Besancon' examples - both Perf 11½-12½x10x10x10 - that sold for SFr965 & SFr315 (2020). [Date range 26.6.1874 to 6.11.1874]
