1905 cover to Tasmania (spike hole) franked 1d Universal canc fine complete "N.Z. PENNY POSTAGE" slogan machine d/s of Wellington NOV 16 1905. Flap tears, otherwise good condition.

1915 WWI stampless OAS PPC (Ramleh Casino, Alexandria, Egypt) to NZ, canc fine NZ Advanced Base Army P.O. cds 27 DE 15. Message dated 23/12/15 reads "Just off. Somewhere or other". Immediately after evacuation from Gallipoli. Probably written abroad ship at Mudros on Lemnos Island, on route to Alexandria. Fine.

1915 WWI envelope to NZ trooper on active service in Wellington Mounted Rifles in NZEF in Egypt. Franked 1d Dominion canc good near complete strike of Ihakara double-ring cds 21 JL 15 (PM 1912-1925, - very scarce d/s). Transit b/s of Levin same day, Addressee seriously wounded on Gallipoli & repatriated to NZ. With fine strike (violet) of large h/s "RETURNED/TO N.Z./LEFT NO A/D". Cover is worn along one edge & corner segment cut off. Rare markings.

1915 WWI stampless OAS pre-printed "Field Service" formula p/c to NZ, from Gallipoli. From trooper in NZ Mounted Brigade (dismounted while at Gallipoli!). Fine square Censor No. 2239 (red) & (over top) fine Headquarters N.Z. Division Field P.O. cds 27 JU 15. Message dated 17 June, NZ receipt b/s 10? AU 15. Fine condition (unusual for mail from Gallipoli).

1915 WWI stampless OAS cover to NZ, franked light but quite legible complete strike (violet) of censor h/s (scarce) "O.C. No. 1 H'QRS. COY/N.Z. AND A. DIV. TRAIN" (Officer Commanding No. 1 Headquarters Company N.Z. & Australian Divisional Train), with m/s signature. Cairo cds 16.XI,15. Possibly ex Gallipoli.

1915 WWI PPC (view over Cairo), to NZ, franked Egypt 5m Sphinx, canc light Headquarters NZ. Division Field P.O. cds (80% strike) 12 April 1915. Used by NZ Advanced Base P.O. at Alexandria docks. Message written immediately prior to departure of NZ Division to Mudros on Lemnos Island on the way to the landings on Gallipoli (25 April 1915). Fine. Historic item.

Message (earlier, en route from Mudros on Lemnos Island, staging post from Gallipoli) headed "S.S. Borda at sea" (Australian transport ship heading for Alexandria). M/s signature censor. Fine.

1916 WWI stampless OAS cover (central vert fold, flap missing), to NZ canc good/fine Headquarters N.Z. Division Field P.O. cds 30 JA 16. From Moascar, Egypt, soon after the evacuation from Gallipoli. With unclear square Censor No. 2950 h/s & censor's m/s signature. Mosgiel NZ receipt b/s 16 MR 16.

1916 WWI stampless OAS PPC (RMS "Tahiti", which in 1916 became HMNZT No. 38), to NZ, canc fine strike of N.Z. Stationary A.P.O. No. 1 cds 12 FE 16. From Zeitoun Camp, Egypt, where the writer had just arrived after transport from NZ on the "Tahiti". Minor edge crease.

1917 WWI GB stampless OAS. "Souvenir of Salisbury" view folder (concertina type), to NZ, canc. Fine "SLING CAMP/SALISBURY" cds 14 MY 17. Ex NZ soldier stationed there. Fine.

1925-26 Dunedin International Exbn pictorial letter-card (green & black, 4 notables on front, NZ map & scenery on back), franked 1d Dunedin Exbn canc unclear Dunedin cds 2 JA 26. Rouletted border removed. Two small opening tears, otherwise fine.

1930 printed commercial cover ex Sydney, Australia to USA, franked Australia 3d & 1d GV, canc fine "AUCKLAND N.Z. LOOSE LETTERS" cds 10 FE 30. Posted on ship Sydney to Auckland. Fine.

1930 cover with GV 1d canc Marton machine d/s MR 3. Also on front fine octagagonal "DUNEDIN/UNCLAIMED" d/s 3 APR 1930 (red) & framed "NOT FOUND"(violet). M/s "If at Camp please forward". Good condition.

1933 "MARINE POST OFFICE/N.Z./ R.M.M.S. AORANGI" cds, fine strike 1 MR 33 alongside NZ GV 1d canc fine boxed "PACKET BOAT". To USA. Very fine.

1937 inwards cover ex London 24 Nov 1936 bearing 1½d EVIII & boxed NAME OF POST TOWN / OMITTED purple cachet & 5 other instructional markings & 4 (helpful) re-addressings, with Masterton, Dunedin & Christchurch transit cancels. Some ageing but interesting cover.

1937 special pictorial cover & slogan machine pmk for opening of new Dunedin Chief Post Office, 14 April. Set of 2 covers (1 blue, 1 chestnut) to same (typed) address. Fine.

1939 Long commercial cover (with advt of Atwater's Piano Co Auckland) posted without stamp, charged postage due, with "To Pay 3d........" circular h/s. Added 2d, 1d postage due, canc Waihi 24 AP 39. Good condition.

1940 WWII censored German airmail printed envelope, ex Wellington 26 March with 2/- Pict to I.C.R.C. Geneva, with red COUPON-REPONSE h/s.

1940-41 censored "On Active Service" naval covers (x 6), 3 with boxed censor's cachet, 3 with curved top box cachet. All with "On Active Service" h/s & addressed to Auckland. Mixed cond.

1941 WWII censored airmail cover to London, endorsed "Trans-Pacific Airmail", with 5/- Arms & 9d pictorial canc Dunedin 14 April. Nice cond.

1942 long GB printed OHMS cover (vert fold) to NZ with large pictorial cachet (NZ Map) "The Dominion of New Zealand". Franked by very scarce, blue war-time cds "OFFICIAL PAID/H.C. FOR NZ" 11 JAN 1942 (few examples known).
