A three part collection involving the Shield issues of the 1870’s. Part one is pertaining to the various issues showing varieties and shades plus an unusual approach explaining condition. These are mostly used and show a wide variety of attractive cancels. Part two emphasizes cancels. Many examples are clear, readable, s.o.n’s with premium types throughout.
