THE LT HUGH B ROBINSON P.O.W. ARCHIVE: 1940-45 collection of letters, notebooks, maps, etc. 2nd./Lt Robinson, Northamptonshire Reg. arrived in France 11 May 1940 and was captured at Totdes 10 June 1940 eventually being released from being a POW at OFLAG VIB, 1,770 days later on 15 April 1945. The correspondence (17 env. & contents or POW Letter Cards) is from his mother and to three different Oflags. There is also a letter from Rolex, Geneva (May 1943) acknowledging the order of a Perpetual Oyster watch at Swiss Fr325 to be paid at the end of the war. Included is a photograph of Robinson in uniform, three Exercise Books with diary notes, etc. by Robinson over 174 pages, a hand drawn map, overlays of paths(?) plus two POW Camp money coupons.
