BURMA - CEYLON & PAKISTAN - 1938-51: 18 Dec. 1939 env. from Weston to Ceylon bearing a single 2/6d brown paying the double rate. 3 April 1940 env. from Swanage to Dickoya, Ceylon with a single 2/6d brown. 22 May 1940 4½d registered env. from Birmingham to Colombo uprated with½d, 4d, 1/- pair. 2/6d brown & 5/- sent at the 5/- per ½oz rate. Prior to Dec 1945 opened out env. from parcel piece bearing 5/- and 1942 10/- ultramarine x two blocks of six paying the £6 - 5/- 0d for a 3lb 2oz parcel. 3 Aug. 1947 env. registered from London to Colombo bearing 9d, 2/6d green & 5/- paying the 8oz rate plus 3d registration. 7 May 1951 env. from London to Karachi franked with a single 1951 2/6d green.
